HOW WE HELP

INCREASING ACCESS TO EDUCATION

One of our main causes here at Clara Unites Education Inc. is providing underserved children in international communities with access to education.  We also offer all of our program participants uniform assistance, school supplies and access to tutoring.

We strive to provide our students with the individualized supports and resources they need to be successful with their studies.  We believe that education should be treated as a basic right, for without education, an individual's potential is drastically limited.  This is why CUE Inc. dedicates a significant portion of the budget to tuition assistance and ongoing educational supports.

ERADICATING ILLITERACY

Untitled

According to The World Factbook, 59.7% of Haitian residents are unable to read and write.  Literacy is essential to improving oneself and the community at large!  Having the ability to read and write is a critical aspect of social and economic development.

One of our goals is to ensure that the most vulnerable and at-risk groups have the ability to read and write. CUE Inc. is committed to improving Haiti's literacy rate one person at a time.

With your generous donations and volunteering efforts, you have the capacity to help us in our endeavors of eradicating illiteracy. Contact us below to learn more.

PROVIDING NUTRITION

According to USAID, as of 2017, Haiti has a population of 10.8 million people.  Haiti is the poorest country in the Americas and one of the poorest in the world. USAID reports that 25% of the population lives on less than US$1.90 per day and 59%, approximately 6 million people, lives below the national poverty line of US$2.41 per day.

According to Meals and Food for Kids, currently, 1 in 5 children in Haiti are malnourished, 1 in 10 are acutely malnourished and 1 in 14 will die before reaching the age of 5.  Many children in Haiti have one meal per day, some less. Having access to proper nutrition is essential for normal childhood development and educational success.  Our goal here at CUE Inc. is to provide all program participants with access to daily nutrition.  This will not only help combat malnutrition but as a result, will also aid improved cognitive functions.  See how you can help us continue this work by contacting us below.
